Doc/Fest Opening Night film 2010

I've been holding the pin in this little hand grenade since forever and finally - finally - I can pull: the opening night film for Doc/Fest 2010 is 'Joan Rivers - A Piece of Work' by doc champions Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg.
The UK premiere of the film will be on Wednesday November 3rd at our very own Showroom Cinemas. And it is with huge love we can confirm the attendance of the big guns themselves, Ricki and Annie, to come to the fest and talk us through what it was like to make a film about an icon like this. If you recall we screened 'End of America' in 2008 and missed out on having Ricki and Annie attend so this visit is well over due!
Plus, the Opening Night screening will have the film's subject, Joan Rivers, live on stage with the filmmakers.
After being front and centre for their Q&A at Tribeca FF this year I can personally assure you its going to be an eye-waterer. The laugh riot begins now.
If you haven't already, prepare to be converted to the JR fan club.
