Super Connecting Crowdfunding

You've probably seen it, but if not, we're crowdfunding. The Doc/Fest Crowdfunding Campaign is open for taking your support right here
This is about continuing to be your super-connector, and helping you to get to people who can help you, and who you can help. It's about continuing to be a festival and year-round organisation that we hope you find useful and that gives you experiences that inspire you. As a team, we love doing this, and we don't want to stop making opportunities happen that provide you with money, knowledge, training, ideas and a lot more. But the honest truth is that it's not always easy to do everything we want to for you and keep the Doc/Fest purse replenished, so we need your support to keep making a difference in documentary. We need you to contribute what you can to the crowdfunding campaign, and we can keep giving you the Doc/Fest you want all year round.
The Doc/Fest Super Connector Fund is also about practicing what we preach on crowdfunding and, as a wider issue, the importance of collaboration in documentary, in film, in the whole arts and culture sector. We've spent the last couple of years singing the praises of crowdfunding as an exciting new way for us to work together to get films made, and we do strongly believe in it. So we're joining in and we want to show that just as we believe films can get made by collaborative fundraising, so can festivals get funded in part by it - and that it's a way of proactively raising money we can be proud of.
But it's not just about the money - it's about reaffirming our commitment to connecting people and making a claim for co-operation in the funding of culture being very important to us. That's what crowdfunding is about - co-operation and connecting people. So come on and join us in contributing to this campaign - and we'll continue to support your campaigns in the future too!
