Nathalie Windhorst (1972) studied Film and Television at the University of Utrecht. After working at IDFA and as a producer and researcher for Dutch documentaries, she became buyer for public broadcaster VPRO in 1998. She acquired documentaries, drama, comedy, arthouse films and shorts. In 2004 she became head of acquisition for VPRO. In 2005 all acquisition departments of the Dutch public broadcasters were reorganized and merged. Nathalie created the documentary acquisition department for several different broadcasters. She now is responsible for acquisition and prebuys of creative documentaries, art biographies, factual entertainment, music and current affairs for the following broadcasters: VPRO, NTR, VARA, HUMAn, MAX, BNN
