From upcycling challenges to travel adventures and lifestyle makeovers, some of the UK’s most loved entertainment formats are putting sustainability centre stage.

With familiar faces like Joe Lycett and Stacey Solomon leading the charge, this session explores how mainstream talent and factual entertainment creatives are weaving climate themes into shows and connecting with mass audiences. Whether observational, lifestyle or comedy, what can these popular formats teach us about engaging audiences in new ways and how are commissioners responding to a growing appetite for feel-good formats with purpose? Bringing together directors, producers and commissioners, we’ll step beyond the traditional climate narrative and explore the cultural power of mainstream TV, and how entertainment rooted in humour, heart and human stories can spark meaningful change and conversation.

This event is part of BAFTAs Green Light Season, an industry programme of events in partnership with BAFTA albert, aimed at promoting climate change awareness through sustainable production practices and ground-breaking climate storytelling.
