UPDATE: Unfortunately Munroe Bergdorf will no longer be participating in today's event The Changemakers with Alice Aedy, taking place 15:00 - 16:15 at the Crucible Theatre.

Sarah Mosses, Founder & CEO of Together Films, will be the replacement speaker.

What does it take to create change today — and who gets to shape the narrative? Filmmaker Alice Aedy, executive producer of Lowland Kids and co-founder of Earthrise Studio, invites a bold lineup of voices to explore how storytelling can challenge power and stereotypes. From championing climate and gender justice to reporting on global conflicts, empowering women through technology and unearthing marginalised histories, activist, writer and model Munroe Bergdorf, multi-Emmy Award-winning journalist Hind Hassan, entrepreneur and cultural leader Sharmadean Reid MBE, and writer and presenter Zing Tsjeng join Alice to reflect on their work at the intersection of storytelling, community-building and activism. Together, they consider the urgent need to tell new kinds of stories and engage with young diverse audiences, in a rapidly shifting world.

Speakers:
Hind Hassan (Multi-Emmy Award-winning journalist & documentary filmmaker - Sky, Al Jazeera, VICE News)
Sharmadean Reid MBE (Writer, creative consultant, entrepreneur and founder of Beautystack)
