craft + activism = craftivism
Craftivism is about taking it slow, discarding perfectionism, and focusing our minds on something we care about with a needle and thread in hand.
In this workshop, we will reflect on the film Heals and explore what identity means to us as individuals. In this space, we will produce a collective call to action through the creation of our own craftivist pieces – for everyone to express who they are and how doing so enables all of us to meet our people, find connections to the world around us, and walk our own bold and beautiful path to wherever we blummin’ well want.

I am the Head of Learning & Impact at Grimm & Co, a literacy charity based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. I delivered a craftivism workshop at DocFest in 2025, and I’m chuffed to be asked back again!
This session is open to everyone interested in creating a peaceful protest, who needs a space for Reflection and wants activism to be fair.
