How does a powerful story evolve across mediums—from newsprint to podcast to documentary and back again? Join leading voices in journalism, audio, and film for a behind-the-scenes look at how stories adapt and grow across platforms.

This session will explore how stories can evolve across different mediums, featuring insights from three experts at different stages of a story’s lifecycle. From a newsroom pitch and the creation of an investigative podcast series to the adaptation of a story into a documentary, we will examine the unique narrative approaches each format demands, discuss considerations around IP and the process of turning podcast IP into documentary and other creative formats.

Grace Hughes-Hallett (Documentary Maker & Podcast Reporter - Three Identical Strangers, The Stranger in Me)
