Uncle 3’s soul lingers in the unfinished buildings of our hometown, telling the story of his life and memories of “home.”
In Hunan province, Uncle 3 chose to leave this world when the property boom turned to dust. Now, through AI-recovered monologues, his voice drifts through the hollow shells of developments that will never be completed. 3 Lost in Towers merges his fragmented memories with images of the abandoned structures themselves, creating a portrait of a place and a life suspended in stalled time. What begins as one man's story quietly opens into something more universal: reflections on home, on belonging, on what happens to a community when the promises it was built on collapse. A haunting meditation on loss, told from the one place its subject could never quite leave behind.
