In rural North Macedonia, a determined woman begins a quiet revolution. Inheriting her father's job as a van driver, she opens new possibilities for the women around her.
With charm and dignity, this film follows Antigona, the first and only female bus driver serving a rural community of villages in North Macedonia. Carrying on the work of her father, she drives a van from one remote community to the next, navigating the winding rural roads and a world dominated by men and their opinions. With quiet determination, she embraces this role as community driver; connecting people, caring for those around her, and inadvertently sparking a revolution in how these men see women and how these women see themselves.
This film will screen as part of the programme Shorts: Where We Find Ourselves.
