A whaling ship the size of a few apartment buildings hurtles toward you in the middle of the frigid oceans of the Antarctic. All you have in your dingy is rope, stink bombs and good faith.

This is the start of fear in this modern David and Goliath epic. A controversial chronicle of the Sea Shepherd’s campaign against a Japanese whaling fleet centers around an eclectic and impassioned collective of volunteers who are like pirates, falling foul of the law as they ram and taunt the enemy. Spectacular natural scenery makes for a real cinematic experience. Sailing with the stunning backdrop of the Ross Sea around them, the crew must overcome international law, dubious sailing vessels and a lack of world support to get the job done. Politics can cost a life in the middle of the ocean where the hunters become hunted. No matter whose side you are on, this is undeniably one of the most dramatic environmental campaigns ever filmed.
