Nanema Boubakar runs an underground cine club which shows its share of bootlegged film but when an opportunity to show Ouedraogo ‘s Yaaba, Nanema is delighted.
In the district of St. Leon in Burkina Faso the underground Votre Cine Club is run by Nanema Boubakar. A discussion of the state of the film industry in Africa, Sacred Places deals with a number of issues facing the African film industry.
