Baba Dez is living the life. Rarely clothed in his resort in majestic Sedona Arizona, he works as a sexual shaman, helping exorcise his clients’ personal demons by introducing them to fabulous sex Dez-style. In this free love and jargon-heavy world, Dez claims it’s fabulous to love more than one woman at a time – which helps explain how he has slept with more than a thousand. But his main squeeze these days is the marvellous Maya, who has rocked his world so much that he’s rethinking his polyamorous ways. But before he has a chance to get his head straight, Maya has departed, not as okay with being one of a thousand as Dez seemed to think. So Dez embarks on his greatest test yet: can he get his lovers to help him manifest Maya through Sex Magic? This hugely entertaining foray into the frontline of America’s Sacred Sexuality practioner movement is one of those films which really should be watched in a crowded cinema. Just don’t bring your mum.
