In the 1980s, Jason Becker’s star was rising very fast.  Not only had he made a name for himself as a guitarist of astonishing talent, but he’d also landed a spot playing in the legendary David Lee Roth’s band.  But just before he set out on tour, Becker was diagnosed with motor neurone disease - and his world collapsed. Like most sufferers, he was given just a few years to live. But as the title exclaims, Becker has defied all the odds. This riveting documentary recounts the twists and turns of Becker’s dramatic life story, with the help of his friends and family. Now immobilised and cared for by an utterly devoted entourage, he continues to write songs, using an eye movement scheme devised by his father. Despite his immobility, his persona remains vibrant, and his fan base huge - and he’s somehow never short of a beautiful girlfriend.
