Live from the Clinic, a spin-off of the multiplatform juggernaut that is Embarrassing Bodies, pushes the boundaries of Live and Direct - a viewer can be watching at 8pm and can have consulted Dr Christian or Dr Dawn face-to-face live on TV by 9pm. Woven into the show is a rich mix of interactive elements ranging from innovative forms of interactive video to unique video symptom checkers (which alone saved the NHS over £400K during the series). This rounded case study takes us through the whole project - warts (literally) and all - from concept through broadcast to its recent digital Emmy win, from the point of view of the TV indie, the digital team and the broadcaster.
