The History Channel has embraced interactive media experimenting with 4Square and through a partnership with the Museum of London to create augmented reality experiences that bring history alive in the streets of the capital. Chris Hancox will discuss their strategy to make history more accessible and relevant to the present day by engaging younger viewers and how this helps redefine the channel identity; Andrew Markus from The Museum of London will elaborate their ongoing digital strategy, and Kevin Brown from digital agency Brothers and Sisters will explain how they integrated material from the History Channel into an augmented reality app, how to measure success and the benefits of legacy products.
