The Space is a new on-demand digital arts service developed by the Arts Council in partnership with the BBC. This ‘test-light’ offers a great opportunity to explore how such a service was made possible, what it hopes to achieve and what difficulties it has faced along the way. Through case studies from commissioned projects we explore what has worked, what has not worked and what can be learned.
