Animate Projects
Gary Thomas is Co-director of Animate Projects, and editor of Engine, an online magazine covering the range of independent moving image practice. He previously worked for Arts Council England. As Head of Moving Image he initiated projects including Single-Shot (with UK Film Council) and SlotArt (Channel 4 and online), developed archive and digital strategies for artists’ work, and sat on the DCMS Digitisation Expert Group. He is a specialist advisor to the Scottish Arts Council, on the advisory board of no.w.here, and Chair of LUX.
