Walsh founded Walsh Bros Ltd 15 years ago. Credits include documentaries on Oscar-winning special effects legend Ray Harryhausen to alternative comedy, gap year adventures and feature film drama with the period film ‘Monarch’. Issues round social justice followed with BBC2’s ‘Headhunting the Homeless’ (Grierson nomination) and ‘Don’t Make Me Angry’ (BAFTA nomination). Recent productions include the childhood homeless series ‘Sofa Surfers’ (BBC). As former Vice Chair of the Directors Guild of Great Britain, John organises kick-start events for new and emerging film makers.
