International Delegations
Every year, Doc/Fest invites groups of documentary-makers from key countries to attend the festival and have a special focus put on factual filmmaking in their region. We present producers, directors and commissioning editors from some of the most prolific documentary producing regions in the world. In 2009, our delegations came from South Australia, the Nordic countries, Germany, Scotland, and The Netherlands, plus we're welcoming a special group from the Dutch Film School
Members of the delegations that attended in 2009 included:

Nordic
The Nordic delegation is proudly co-ordinated by Filmkontakt Nord and the Swedish Film Institute. Documentaries – especially creative documentaries - have a long and strong tradition in our countries. Furthermore, there is a clear commitment to the genre from all major film institutions and public broadcasters, many blossoming documentary events, and a still more dedicated audience. All together this makes up a solid base for documentary production in the Nordic region and it nurtures the pool of documentary talent. Nordic filmmakers continuously make their mark all over the world, and at the 2009 festival you could enoy 8 films in the official selection.
