Temporary Job Opportunities
Doc/Fest wouldn’t happen without the hard work and enthusiasm of many temporary workers every year. More information on temporary opportunities will be updated throughout early 2012. p>
Press Intern (voluntary)
The Sheffield Doc/Fest press office, which is based in London, is offering a five month internship starting mid February for someone to learn about the workings of a busy documentary film festival press office. To work successfully in this environment you need to be hard-working, self-motivated, creative, resourceful and patient!
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn how to put together press releases (you therefore need to enjoy writing but not necessarily want to become a journalist), learn how to schedule press interviews, monitor the press and collate cuttings, and help with general press office duties. You'll have close contact with the wider festival team and have the opportunity to develop contacts with international and UK journalists, filmmakers and industry. The successful candidate needs to be available to attend the festival in Sheffield from 13-17 June as part of the press team.
To apply please write to Sarah Harvey with a covering email and your CV.
