The Power Hour
The Power Hour - meet with Decision Makers
The Power Hour is a way for Doc/Fest delegates not in the MeetMarket to be able to meet one-to-one with the funders, buyers and mentors in the festival's marketplace. If you're not selected for MeetMarket, this is a great way to connect with, and pitch to, the people who can support your documentary, factual or interactive project.
There will be 3 Matchmaking sessions on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Doc/Fest 2012, in which up to 6 decision makers will take meetings for a total of 1 hour, bookable in advance as individual meetings of 10 minutes. The decision makers are generally themed by genre, type or geography for each session.
Only those whose projects fit perfectly with the funding priorities for the Decision Makers taking Power Hour meetings will be offered confirmed places. An assessment process applies for Power Hour sessions (see below)

HOW TO BOOK
We will only select those to take part on the Power Hour session when it is appropriate to the Decision Makers taking meetings. Requesting a Power Hour meeting does not guarantee you the meeting. We reserve the right on these grounds to refuse places to applicants, but if we think you and your project are suitable, then we'll consider applications on a first-come first-serve basis.
Power Hour meetings can only be booked by emailing chris at sidf.co.uk and availability is very limited. You can request up to 3 of these Decision Makers, and you must specify an order of preference. We must receive your request BY FRIDAY 25TH MAY.
The list of Decision Makers participating is above - please do review their profiles on The Decision Maker List to see if you'd like to meet with them. If you think you'd like to meet with a Decision Maker and have an appropriate project, email chris at sidf.co.uk and remind us of your MeetMarket project if you applied, or briefly tell us if you have another project you'd like to present. We will then respond after May 25th to let you know if your meeting request has been successful.
You must be a registered Sheffield Doc/Fest Delegate for 2012 for this meeting request to be accepted - any requests from those not registered as delegates will be unsuccessful. We must receive your request BY FRIDAY 25TH MAY
For more general information on the Power Hours please email Chris Black , via chris [@] sidf.co.uk
The Doc/Fest marketplace team are also happy to connect delegates with Decision Makers in other informal ways where appropriate - if you'd like advice on the best way to meet with Decision Makers at Sheffield Doc/Fest, email charlie@sidf.co.uk
