Organisational Discounts

If you are a member of the following organizations you might be eligible for a discounted registration:
EDN, Shooting People, the DFG, PACT, Women in Film and Television (WFTV), BECTU, Directors UK, PRS for music, The D-Word and FOCAL

This discount is available from each organization on a first come, first served basis. Doc/Fest is unable to answer queries regarding this discount - you must refer to the relevant organisation's website or e-news bulletins for details.

Concession Pass: £99 + VAT (Full time students, Senior Citizens, Claimants)

Before registering for a Concession Pass, we require proof of concession status. Your proof of concession status must be valid until 17 June 2013. Please email one of the following forms of proof to registration@sidf.co.uk:


  • - Full time students: NUS Student Card, University Student Card, International Student Identity Card, Letter from your university verifying student status

  • - Senior Citizens: Driver's License, Railcard, Freedom Pass, Passport, Birth Certificate

  • - Claimants: Letter from The Department of Work and Pensions, on headed paper, signed by a representative, verifying Job Seekers Allowance or Incapacity Benefit. If you require a carer they can attend free of charge but must send through proof of their status as your carer.

Saturday Day Pass £150+VAT (Valid on Saturday 15 June ONLY)

All Sessions and Films and Social Events at Sheffield Doc/fest are all accessible via the Full Festival Pass, this is the best way to get Access All Areas at Sheffield Doc/Fest.

We are also offering a very limited number of Saturday Day Passes - Saturday is one of the most amazing days of the festival with 34 films screening and 20 sessions and panels, a full day of interactive experiences in the Crossover Lounge and 10 different networking events and a legendary party at East End Bar into the small hours. The Saturday Day Pass will get you access to all of these things.

A handful of festival sessions in The Crucible Theatre are on sale as single tickets but most of the Sheffield Doc/Fest sessions are not on sale as single tickets. We have been asked if Ira Glass is a single ticket session, Ira Glass's session is only accessible via the full festival pass or the Saturday Day Pass. Ira Glass's session will be extremely popular with festival pass holders - the venue will be full so please arrive early for the session.

Access to all venues is closely monitored with barcode scanners and Saturday Passes will only be activated on Saturday, If you wish to attend events at the festival on other days, you should purchase the Full Festival Pass, available here

Many of the Saturday sessions will be in huge demand by festival pass holders so we encourage all pass holders to turn up early at the venue to get a seat.

The Sheffield Local Pass: £199+VAT.

We couldn’t do the Festival each year without the City of Sheffield; our location is incredibly important to us. To celebrate our 20th Anniversary and Local Launch, we will be offering a discounted pass of £199+VAT to Sheffield Locals


This is a limited pass, first come first served basis. To claim this discount we will need proof of address on a Utility Bill for us to send out your registration link. The email to send this to is registration@sidf.co.uk
