Who should attend?
Sheffield Doc/Fest offers opportunities for experienced, debut and student filmmakers. Newcomers Day gives new filmmakers the opportunity to learn more about the industry and how to get involved. DocDay gives students the opportunity to meet up with mentors from across the documentary community to discuss their film projects. MeetMarket allows filmmakers the opportunity to pitch projects to commissioning editors, distributors, funders and other executives from the UK, Europe and the world. At Sheffield Doc/Fest you will be able to meet with many documentary EPs, commissioners, broadcasters, distributors and other buyers.
Sheffield Doc/Fest offers in-depth filmmaker masterclasses, controversial discussion panels, incisive interviews and detailed case studies. Guests range from legendary masters of the creative documentary form to presenters of popular factual TV and include representation from all parts of the global doc industry.
Sessions at Sheffield Doc/Fest include keynote addresses and interviews with some of the world's leading documentary filmmakers and broadcasters. Go doc-watching and experience our programme of international documentary feature films, showcasing some of the greatest talent working in the genre today.
