Round Table: Distribution and Sales
The Sales Sunday Round Table invited delegates to meet with distribution and sales professionals through informal group discussions. This session was aimed at filmmakers with a film at a late of finished stage, wanting to get advice and inspiration on finding the right audiences for their films.

10-Minute Meets: Distribution and Sales
This event brought together distribution and sales professionals with delegates for short 10-minute one-to-one meetings, which were pre-booked and match-made by the Doc/Fest Marketplace team.
This session format invited delegates to meet with decision makers through informal group discussions. Running for 90 minutes, the session featured six tables with one Decision Maker at each table. During the course of the event, the delegates met with all attending Decision Makers for 15-minute group meetings.
Funds and Foundations
This session focused on funding: filmmakers met funders and foundation representatives who outline the specifics of their funding remits, along with their dos and don'ts when applying for grants. This session was a chance to learn more about the available funding opportunities, and to ask questions directly from funding experts.

Keen on finding audiences for your short documentary? Want to know more about the curatorial decisions behind some of the leading short form platforms? Interested in learning more about funding opportunities for short form documentary storytelling? This session featured the leading online exhibition channels, and invited delegates to come and meet with the professionals who run them.
Series and Formats
Bringing together TV commissioners and producers, this round table offered a unique opportunity to learn more about current demands within the industry for ideas and concepts for series and formats. This group session was a forum for the Decision Makers to outline just how they’re currently working with series, and a chance for delegates to build a better understanding of how their projects and ideas would fit these requirements.

Festivals – with Documentary Campus
Sheffield Doc/Fest in collaboration with Documentary Campus presented this round table session, which featured documentary festivals and markets from Europe, North America and South America. This was an opportunity for delegates to learn more about what these organisations and events can do to get a documentary idea on the market and in front of audiences.

Feature Docs for Cinema and TV
This session welcomed Decision Makers who commission and fund documentary projects, to come and share information about how they work with feature length documentaries. This was an opportunity for the experts to outline the role of feature length stories in their programming, and a chance for delegates to gain a better understanding of the process behind getting their films included in the attending broadcasters programmes.
This was a a one-to-one Marketplace session format where delegates met with Decision Makers for short 10-minute meetings. Each session focused on a particular topic, and featured Decision Makers representing that part of the industry. These were match-made sessions where Decision Makers were brought together with those delegates that were most relevant to them.
Issue Driven and Having an Impact
This 10-Minute Meets session was designed for anyone interested in learning more about how to create impactful documentary productions. The session featured professionals involved in supporting productions in different ways and at different stages of production; from funding and distribution representatives and NGOs to communication and engagement professionals.

Arts and Culture
This 10-Minute Meets session focused on TV commissioners specialising in arts and culture topics, and features an international group of experts. This is an excellent event for anyone wanting to know more about how broadcasters in for instance Australia, Central Europe and the Nordic Countries approach arts and culture content in their programming, and an opportunity for delegates to briefly introduce themselves and their projects to the professionals.
Interactive and Virtual Reality
Delegates were invited to meet one-to-one with a diverse group of experts in the interactive, transmedia and virtual reality sector of the industry. The attending experts represent technological and cultural institutions, broadcasters and other digital institutions, and met with delegates to share information and advice.
