In a career spanning more than four decades, Nick Broomfield is one of the most influential documentary makers of our time. Having initially carved his name in hard hitting observational fare, when Driving Me Crazy went awry in 1988 Nick decided to place himself in the story, going on to make a number of acclaimed films including Biggie and Tupac, Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer and Kurt & Courtney. We were delighted to bring Nick back to Doc/Fest in 2017 with his latest film, Whitney ‘Can I Be Me’ for its UK Premiere.
Nick gave an insightful Q&A following the UK Premiere of Whitney 'Can I Be Me' with presenter Sarah Jane Crawford, and was also in conversation with Louis Theroux, himself no stranger to being centre of the action. The two talked to Nick about his career and latest film.
We also revist Nick's masterclass at Doc/Fest 2011, a timeless interview to this day.
