4. round tables 2017

This is an overview of the Marketplace sessions from the 2018 programme - the Marketplace sessions for 2019 will be announced in due time.

Marketplace Sessions

The Marketplace sessions 2018 took the form of Round Tables. This session format invited delegates to meet with industry Decision Makers through informal group discussions. Running for 90 minutes, the session featured five tables with one or two Decision Makers at each table. During the course of the event, participants met with all attending Decision Makers for 15-minute group meetings.

Decision Makers who attended in 2018 came from organisations such as Vice, New York Times, BFI, Chicken & Egg, Arte, IDA, The Guardian, SXSW, True/False and DocSociety.

Why VR Workshop | Presented by Google

Virtual reality. You’ve heard about it, you’ve been intrigued by it, but you just haven’t known exactly where to start. This is the crash course you’ve been hoping for.

We’ve packed a half day full of VR - from an overview of the medium to hands-on training. You’ll walk away with a grasp of what makes VR such a powerful content creation platform, an intro to industry tools and best practices, and the required skills to produce 360° and VR180 videos. You will also have the opportunity to demo some of the best experiences in the medium and, best of all, you’ll leave with a short piece you’ve created.

Google together with Sheffield Doc/Fest welcomes registered delegates to attend this workshop on Saturday 9 June. This event is open to emerging and established filmmakers who are keen to learn more about creating virtual reality. The event is free to attend and we will supply lunch for all attendees.
