How do I book?
Entry to The World Unknown To You in Trafalgar Warehouse is free and open to all but booking will be required for virtual or augmented reality projects. In order to book onto these projects, arrive at the booking station downstairs and speak with the host.
Entry to the Better Known Truths section of the Alternate Realities Exhibition is free and open to all but booking will be required. The projects are divided into 5 curated playlists: Childhood, Fear, Habitats, Climate and Loss, which will be screened on a loop in this order throughout the day. To book onto these projects, and to find out specific timings arrive at the booking station upstairs and speak with the host.
How will I know I've booked?
The host on the booking station will give you a booking card detailing your name, the project you wish to see, and your allocated time.
What if I lose my booking card?
If you misplace your booking card, simply visit the booking station and they will reissue a new card.
What if I miss my slot?
Please ensure you arrive 5 minutes early for your slot. If you arrive late, your slot may be given to those waiting in line.
Can I apply for multiple bookings?
Yes, however each individual must book in person. This is to give everyone equal opportunity to experience the Alternate Realities Exhibition.
Can I book online?
Booking can only take place at the appropriate booking station at the venue. If this is not possible due to accessibility, email access [at] sidf.co.uk or call +44(0) 330 112 8870.
Health & Safety
Sheffield Doc/Fest does not recommend that virtual reality equipment is used by anyone with a pacemaker or epilepsy, who is pregnant, or is under the age of 13. If anyone under the age of 13 wishes to view projects, they must have permission from a parent or guardian who must accompany them at all times.
All projects in the exhibition are subject to individual age recommendations, as directed by the artists. If you need guidance, please ask a volunteer or member of staff.
