Alternate Realities Talent Market: Now Open for Submissions!
We’re excited to open submissions for the Alternate Realities Talent Market!
Sheffield Doc/Fest’s Alternate Realities Talent Market exists to foster collaborations between creatives and organisations focused on using digital technologies to push storytelling in exciting new directions. The market is for discussing new projects that are interactive, immersive, virtual reality, augmented reality, web-doc, games, 360-video, live performance, motion comic, room-scale experience and/or installation.
Selected artists and creative teams will be connected with industry Decision Makers from tech companies, funding bodies, NGOs, broadcasters, international festivals, galleries, production companies and distribution platforms for new media. Click here to view the Decision Makers that took part in 2018.
Participants will have pre-arranged, match-made meetings during Sheffield Doc/Fest on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th June, 2019. In addition the pitching teams will be invited to a private view of the Alternate Realities Exhibition and networking reception.
To apply you must have at least one new project to discuss during the market. It may be at any stage of development and need not have any third-party financing in place at the time of submitting. For the next edition of the market we are extending the time for meetings (to 25 minutes each) to allow more time for participants on both sides of the table to explore broader possibilities for collaboration.
We believe that no other market offers the intimacy and chance for personal connections that Doc/Fest does, and we are looking forward to reading about you and your project(s)!
To be part of the 2019 festival, submit your project via our submissions page here.
For linear documentaries ranging from long form to series and formats, please see the MeetMarket, now open for submissions.
