As part of our aim to make Sheffield Doc/Fest as accessible as possible, we find it important to help lower the barriers for young filmmakers and documentary enthusiasts to engage with the documentary industry.

25 and Under Pass

Do you really love watching documentaries? Or maybe you are an emerging filmmaker, producer or artist? Our pass is available to EVERYONE 25 and younger. We want to help make your next steps in the documentary industry or just let you watch as many docs as possible.

The pass will give you access to the full range at Sheffield Doc/Fest 2019: 6 - 11 June, including the Film Programme, Alternate Realities programme, Talks, Marketplace, Doc/Player and all social events and parties, at a discounted rate of £159+VAT.

If you are a full-time student you also qualify for our Concession pass for £139 + VAT.

Volunteer at Doc/Fest and become part of the Doc/Crew

The Programme offers an unprecedented opportunity to gain valuable experience in the film industry, meet like-minded people and make lasting friendships. We welcome volunteer applications from people of all backgrounds. All Doc/Fest venues have good access for wheelchair users and we work to ensure the Festival is accessible to everyone. If you have any questions about whether a role is suitable for you, please get in touch via volunteer [at] sheffdocfest.com

To get an idea of what volunteering as part of Doc/Crew might look like, click here to watch our brand new Doc/Crew trailer, made for us by Leanne Hayman and Clément Esso of OTOXO Productions.

Our Doc/Crew volunteers take over the city from 6-11 June 2019, with plenty of opportunities to join the team before and after the festival. In return for volunteering you’ll receive:

  • One free ticket to see a film for every shift you complete
  • A free Doc/Crew branded T-Shirt
  • Your very own Doc/Crew festival pass and lanyard
  • Invitations to the epic Doc/Fest parties
  • The opportunity to become part of the Doc/Crew alumni
  • Plus more to be announced...

Full information about the different volunteering opportunities can be found here. Applications are closing soon.
