Doc/Fest is pleased to announce that Rough/Ready is returning in 2019.
Our Rough/Ready programme runs each year during the festival. It provides the opportunity for UK based directors and/or producers with projects at rough or fine cut stage to connect with important decision makers during Doc/Fest 2019, including other festivals and sales agents. If your project is selected both the director and the producer will receive a festival pass.
How it works
We will select three projects, each of which will receive feedback after the screening. The films have to be feature length non-fiction works, and each project will present up to 20 minutes of material alongside a 7 minute presentation on Monday 10th June. Material can be 20 minutes of consecutive film or select 5-7 minute scene assemblies, and can be screened from a digital file. As selected projects receive festival passes for the director and the producer, there will be the opportunity to network with decision makers after the screening and throughout the festival, allowing you to carry on making contacts while enjoying the rest of Doc/Fest 2019. Unfortunately, we cannot cover any transport or accommodation expenses.
If you have a feature film at rough or fine cut stage and you are a UK based filmmaker then this is for you! Applications will open on the 11th March, and will close on the 18th April. More information about Rough/Ready and the application process will be coming soon.
