Alternate Realities Talent Market – 2019 Projects & Teams Announced
The Alternate Realities Talent Market exists to foster collaborations between creatives and organisations focused on using digital technologies to push storytelling in exciting new directions. The market is for discussing new projects that are interactive, immersive, virtual reality, augmented reality, web-doc, games, 360-video, live performance, motion comic, room-scale experience and/or installation.
Twenty-five selected artists and creative teams have been selected to connect with industry Decision Makers from tech companies, funding bodies, NGOs, broadcasters, international festivals, galleries, production companies and distribution platforms for new media. The list of Decision Makers that participated in the last edition can be viewed here.
Selected participants will have pre-arranged, match-made meetings during Sheffield Doc/Fest on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 June, 2019.
The Alternate Realities Talent Market runs parallel to the MeetMarket for documentary features and series.
The Alternate Realities Exhibition for completed works will run throughout the Festival, 6-11 June, programme announcement May 9th.
The Alternate Realities Summit - a one-day symposium bringing together artistic practice and academia to share insight into the most compelling areas of narrative, design, production and strategy - will be on Sunday 9th June, 2019. Full programme TBA.
