At Sheffield Doc/Fest we are extremely proud of our paperless ticketing system that will allow you to select e-tickets for film screenings from your own laptop, tablet or mobile phone. This means no need to queue at a box office and also no physical tickets – every e-ticket will be loaded directly onto your Festival Pass.

Prior to the Festival, Festival Pass Holders will have the opportunity to select e-tickets for up to five separate film screenings from 12noon GMT on Friday 10th May until 12midnight on 31 May 2019.

You should have received an invite via email for our Opening Night film, Diego Maradona You should register your interest in attending Opening Night by clicking the link in that email. You will not be able to select an e-ticket for Opening Night on our website.

Festival Pass Holders do not require e-tickets for Talks & Sessions – please go directly to the venue and show your Festival Pass. Some events are on sale to the public, so be sure to arrive early for these events to guarantee yourself a seat.

During the Festival, you can select e-tickets the day before and the day of a screening. An hour before the screening start time, you will be asked to join the standby queue at the venue.

You select e-tickets from your own laptop, tablet or mobile phone, but if you need any assistance in doing this or have any questions, a member of the team on the Doc/Arrival Info Point at the Sky Delegate Centre or at the Doc/Info point on Tudor Square will be happy to help.

To select e-tickets:

1. Log into your My Doc/Fest account (If you have forgotten your log-in details for your My Doc/Fest account, please click 'forgotten your password');

2. Find the film screening you want to attend;

3. Add an e-ticket to your basket and complete the check-out process, or add more e-tickets to your basket;

4. Add details of your booking to your personal calendar;

5. Check your e-tickets at any time in your My Doc/Fest account and if you are unable to attend a screening, click ‘Return your ticket’ up to 60 minutes before the start of the event time.

If a film screening is showing that e-tickets are unavailable during pre-selection, you will still have the chance to select a e-ticket for that screening the day before or day of the screening when you are at the Festival.

If a film screening is showing that e-tickets are unavailable during the Festival, you will have the option to join the standby queue at the venue on the day.

Please note that you will need to be in your seat five minutes before the advertised start time in order for the e-ticket to be valid. If you are not in your seat five minutes before the advertised start time, your e-ticket may be reallocated and you may be asked to join the standby queue.
