The On-Screen Factual Talent Market is Sheffield Doc/Fest’s exciting new training and networking initiative bringing together promising factual talent with producers, commissioners and other decision makers keen on uncovering new TV talent.

Launching as a brand new addition to Sheffield Doc/Fest’s Marketplace programme this year, The On-Screen Factual Talent Market provides a fantastic forum for TV experts to meet one-to-one with talented and diverse individuals, hungry to share their expertise on television in both on-screen and advisory roles.

From engineers to archaeologists, artists to anthropologists and journalists to hypnotherapists – the group of 18 selected experts represent a wide range of different fields and knowledge. They have been shortlisted by Lucy Vernall from the Academic Ideas Lab in collaboration with Marketplace Manager Anna Parker, following an open call for submissions.

This event provides a forum for the talent to meet decision makers over one-to-one meetings.
