Guardian Documentary Fighting Shame documents a group of women who use everyday items to tell of the sacrifices and difficult choices they face, and the community initiatives they have launched in an attempt to tackle the shame surrounding poverty and make policy makers listen. Join the producer-director, Sally Ogden and contributors and production team, Sarah Sweeney, Mary Brennan, Christine Issacs, Amina junior Weston and Amina senior Weston talking to Abigail Scott Paul, Exec Producer (Joseph Rowntree Foundation) for this special screening and conversation. The film is the result of a successful pitch made by the women and filmmakers in the Joseph Rowntree Foundation/Guardian Films pitch last year.
