The New York Times praised Food Chains, calling it “rousing...emphatic and empathetic." The film helped the Coaltion of Immokalee Workers, the farm worker group it profiles, to reach a landmark agreement with Wal-Mart and win the 2014 Clinton Global Citizen Award.
