Since February 2005, Jutta Krug has been responsible for the documentary film at WDR. Her professional career has been marked by her long-standing ARTE co-operation: as an editor and reporter of the first hour, she worked for eight years in Strasbourg before moving to Cologne in the ARTE editorial department of the WDR. There she developed thematic themes and various documentary formats. Documentary films from their editorial team are regularly represented at all major festivals and have received numerous awards, including the European and the German Filmpreis. (Among others, "Heimweh nach den Sternen" by Patricio Guzmán, "Nobody's Perfect" by Niko von Glasow and "Kinshasa Symphony" by Claus Wischmann and Martin Baer). Ilian Metev, who won the Cannes Film Festival and Karlovy Vary, was also very successful in Sofia's last outpatient clinic.
