Industry FAQ

mm

This is a guide and FAQ for Industry Delegates.

It is advisable to book tickets for Film screenings and Talks to secure your place at an event.

Tickets are not required (and not available) for most Industry Sessions and Social events; simply show your pass at the door to gain entry.

A few smaller Marketplace sessions do require sign up in advance – if this is the case, a link to sign up will be on the event page.

Industry tickets and access to events is subject to capacity on a first-come, first-served basis. An allocation for Industry Passholders for Films and Talks is held off-sale to the general public so an event will not sell out before Industry tickets are released (which is 48 hours before each event).

You will receive an email with a link to book a ticket for Opening Night when we create your Tickets (Eventive) account, which will be shortly after Industry Programme launch or within 48 hours of registering for an Industry Pass.

Use the link in the email to select a ticket for the event and it will be added to your account and pass like other films - just show your pass at the event for scanning. You must collect your pass from the Delegate Centre before attending the event.

If tickets are no longer available, there will be a standby queue at the venue.

Industry Passholders are able to reserve tickets for Films and Talks from 48 hours before the start of each event.

For example, if an event starts at 10:00 AM on 14 June, Industry tickets will be available from 10:00 AM on 12 June.

An allocation for Industry Passholders for Films and Talks is held off-sale to the general public so an event will not sell out before Industry tickets are released.

To select tickets you must be logged in to your Tickets (Eventive) account to be able to select Industry tickets.

As part of the registration process, a Tickets account will have been created for you and you will receive an email from Eventive within 48 hours of registering for a pass.

Log in to your Tickets account using the same email used when registering for your Industry Pass, at sheffdocfest.com (via the Tickets button), or on the Sheffield DocFest app on your device. Then browse the schedule and book tickets.

Tickets are added to your account – simply present your pass for scanning at the door of the event.

An allocation of Industry tickets is held off-sale to the general public, so an event will never sell out before the tickets are released to Industry Passholders (which is 48 hours before the event starts).

First, make sure you are logged in to your Tickets account.

Industry tickets are only available within 48 hours of the event start time.

If it is within 48 hours of an event starting, you are logged in to your Tickets account and an event says Sold Out (but public tickets are available), this means that the Industry ticket allocation has been taken.

If it is in advance of the 48 hour window and the button says Sold Out, then you may not be logged in to your Tickets account.

Industry Passholders may still be available to access the event by joining the standby queues at venues. Standby queues are operated on a first-come first-served basis, so we cannot guarantee entry.

You can view and favourite events via our ticketing environment. You can star events within the schedule and then filter by 'only show starred events' to create your own schedule.

To access the ticketing area log in in via the Tickets button at the top of this page, or download the app version available on Apple and Android

The Industry Delegate Centre is the place to collect or buy your Industry Pass when you arrive at the festival. It also hosts our Press Desk, Hospitality Services and lost property, and is just a short walk from the train station.

You will need your Industry Pass to access events at the festival. Please wear it at all times. Make sure to leave plenty of time between picking up your pass and your first event as queues can be long on the opening days.

The Delegate Centre is at The Workstation, 15 Paternoster Row, S1 2BX

Opening times: Tue 11 Jun 17:00–19:00 / Wed 12 – Mon 17 Jun 09:00–19:00

If you register for an Industry Pass between 10-16 June it will take up to 24 hours to be processed and available for collection at the Delegate Centre, and for a Tickets (Eventive) account to be created.

Industry Passes are required to access any events and to select tickets, so please register as early as possible to avoid issues at the festival.

Yes, you can see Industry attendees on the Attendee page.

If you have an Industry Pass and are logged into your Industry account, you will also be able to see the email addresses of those who have chosen to share them.

To login to your Industry account, click the Industry button on the top right of this website.

Industry Passholders can access the Marketplace venue, switchboard and cafe, but not attend MeetMarket meetings without an invitation.

There are many other Marketplace activities happening outside the MeetMarket, that are available to all Industry Passholders. Click here to see a list of all Marketplace activities.
