Film entries are now open for the 34th edition of Sheffield DocFest, which will take place from 9-14 June 2027.
For our 34th edition, we welcome completed documentary films of all lengths, from shorts to mid-length and features, from around the world. Our programming represents our core values – creativity, empathy, freedom, inclusivity and internationalism.

Feature or Mid-length Films
From £40.00 inc VAT
For films over 40 minutes
- Early Fee (until 20 November 2026, 12:00 Noon GMT): £40 + VAT
- Standard Fee (until 29 January 2027, 12:00 Noon GMT): £48 + VAT
- Late Fee (until 19 February 2027, 12:00 Noon GMT): £58 + VAT
Short Films
From £30.00 inc VAT
For films under 40 minutes including credits
- Early Fee (until 20 November 2026, 12:00 Noon GMT): £30 + VAT
- Standard Fee (until 29 January 2027, 12:00 Noon GMT): £38 + VAT
- Late Fee (until 19 February 2027, 12:00 Noon GMT): £48 + VAT
