Our Declaration of Independence

The DISCO Network, in partnership with DFC, invites storytellers to dive into the Independence Project - a field-wide endeavour articulating the unique importance of independent documentary to culture, society and democracy. Together we will recite words from our global filmmaking community about the practice’s significance to their lives and cultures, have a workshop defining 'independent documentary', and build a living manifesto in support of independent documentary.
