Rokhaya Marieme Balde, a young filmmaker, returns to her home in Dakar to make a film about a local historical figure. Through her research – which consists of interviews with local personalities, and discussions with her team alongside fictional scenes shot on location – Seeking Aline uncovers the story of Aline Sitoe Diatta.
Seeking Aline will be followed by a live online Q&A with Rokhaya Marieme Balde which will be live-streamed from the cinema to Selects.
