Join the creators at this podcast live event, as they play the first episode of their forthcoming series. A journey that traces the story of one woman’s decades-long search for the remains of her father.
The last time Nombulelo Booi saw her father – anti-apartheid activist, James Booi – it was 1963. He was dragged into an armoured police vehicle, half-naked, in the early hours of the morning, and never heard from again. Sixty years later, Nombulelo teams up with Madeleine Fullard, head of South Africa’s Missing Persons Task Team that searches for apartheid's disappeared, to find the remains of James Booi. Time, Paper, Bone is a 3-part investigative podcast that traces this remarkable journey. Based on three years of reporting by collaborators Bongani Kona and Catherine Boulle, the series chronicles Nombulelo Booi’s lifelong quest for justice and closure.
