Two singers competing for the winning spot on TV talent show Afghan Star come to terms with what life will be like with the return of the Taliban.

Afghanistan’s global pop icon and occasionally outspoken activist Aryana Sayeed trains contestants for the hit TV series Afghan Star. As a new season begins, two frontrunners are female: Zahra Elham and Sadiqa Madadgar. But just as both stand on the cusp of realising their dream, US and allied forces announce their withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Taliban begin their return to power. Fazila Amiri’s suspenseful film follows the women as they attempt to leave Kabul during the US evacuation, while also questioning the reasoning behind the US withdrawal.

Content Guidance: Film contains war scenes and violence.
