A scientific article on sleep and dreams leads him to renowned Brazilian neuroscientist Sidarta Ribeiro. Drawing on the psychological concept of ‘Creatures of the Mind’, the film explores how different societies – ancient and modern, Western and non-Western – have understood the unconscious, symbols, trance states and folklore.
