An interactive experience that offers a moving portrayal of a daughter's attempts to understand and connect with her father, as he suffers from aphasia.
‘Emperor’ invites you to step into the mind of a father suffering from aphasia, whilst his daughter attempts to communicate with him. Travelling from encounters between daughter and father to fragmented scenes from inside the fathers’ memories, the piece tells a story of a relationship through time occluded by illness.
