Afraid he won't be around to see his children grow up, Nasar decides to be cryonically frozen, in the hope of returning in the future.
Nasar, 26 years older than his wife, has started a family later in life. Afraid that he won’t be around to see his children grow up, he decides that upon his death he will be cryonically frozen, in the hope of returning in the future. As his family grapples with what this means to their lives, and whether they should follow suit, Nasar is forced to reassess what truly matters. In a field usually associated with billionaires and celebrities, this is an intimate and existential exploration of the way an ordinary family in the North of England grapple with the profound implications of cryonics. What if Nasar’s wife and children choose not to be frozen? What would it mean for Nasar to return to a world of strangers? This film will screen as part of the programme Shorts: More Souls Than One.
