A poetic-sonic expression from Sheffield-based artist Otis Mensah and performer Jamal Sterrett that explores diasporic-bonding, friendship and our many delicate states of home.
Combining poetry and dance in one brief, intense moment, local artist Otis Mensah and performer Jamal Sterrett have created a unique and evocative visual poem that speaks of racial fragmentation, diasporic-bonding, and friendship amidst the noise of disconnected identities. Reclaiming notions of Blackness in a pursuit of personal liberation, this is both a challenging and joyful piece that creates its own Black mythology.

This film will screen as part of the programme Shorts: Body as Archive.
