Chicago, 2018. A man is shot dead in the street by the police. Playing out in real-time, Incident reconstructs this traumatic event from a variety of synchronised viewpoints.

In this disturbing film, we witness the aftermath of a deadly police shooting in Chicago. Through the use of multiple synchronised viewpoints, including surveillance, security, dashboard and body-worn cameras, Incident seeks to find an objective truth by both reconstructing and deconstructing the event. It reveals the chilling ways that ‘truth’ is beholden to the ones who hold the power to control the narrative. In real-time, we see the machination of story-building, with police convincing each other of their innocence whilst the voices of local black residents are systematically silenced.

Content Guidance: contains graphic violence, murder, racism and police brutality.
