On January 13, 2018, citizens in Hawaii got an emergency message: ‘Ballistic Missile Threat Inbound to Hawai’i. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill’. The message was false, but it sent 1.4 million people into existential panic. This ambitious, three-chapter Virtual Reality work uses first-hand testimonies of the event to make clear the real and imminent threat, as well as the fundamental injustice of a world held hostage by nuclear weapons.
