Last year, the festival welcomed nearly 2,500 industry delegates from 71 countries. This year, it’s going to be even bigger and better.
Sheffield is a historic city on the edge of the Peak District in northern England. It’s small enough so you won’t get lost – but big enough for you to get to talk to lots of people.
Here’s what you can expect:
- World Premieres - Premieres of some of the world’s biggest docs, the year before they hit the cinemas and streamers.
- Top Talent - Live discussions with industry leaders including directors, producers and famous faces from film, TV and podcasts. Previous guests have included David Attenborough, Stacey Dooley, Idris Elba, Roger Ross Williams and Walter Murch.
- Industry sessions - In-depth conversations and thought-provoking panels with leading voices from the documentary world. Our sessions explore the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the industry today, covering finance to archives and much more.
- Industry advice - All passholders have the chance to learn directly from experts at our Marketplace. At our Switchboard and Consultancies, you can book a one-to-one meeting for tailored guidance. You can also attend networking roundtables, which bring together documentary professionals to offer insights on their field.
