Festival Entries

The 31st Edition of Sheffield DocFest will take place from Wednesday 12 June to Monday 17 June 2024

The MeetMarket, for documentary projects at all stages of development, will take place on Thursday 13 June and Friday 14 June 2024, allowing participants the opportunity to experience the opening night of the festival.

Our Festival provides a platform for emerging, established and independent makers to present and share their work to UK and international industry experts and audiences, through our various programmes.

Marketplace & Talent Initiatives

Our Marketplace encompasses a range of initiatives for documentary makers to connect with all kinds of industry partners, to find collaborators and discuss new projects.

Our initiatives, including those that require entries to take part, are:

  • MeetMarket, for presenting new documentary features and series at all stages of development
  • The Alternate Realities Talent Market, for new-media and XR artists
  • Amplify: Production Talent, for entry-level production professionals
  • Filmmaker Challenge, a mentorship and filmmaking programme

Entries for our 2024 MeetMarket are now closed.
